From the sixties of the last century, and authentic historiographical revolution took place in Spain at methodological and thematic level. In this process must also take into account the influence of Hispanist, particularly British, French and North Americans. The work of the news historians widely questioned the oficial narration of the Franco regime around the history of Spain, above all of the civil war. The historiographical production of Ricardo de la Cierva y de Hoces (1926-2015) was a reaction to this process and hod as its objetive the renovation and defense of the foundatons of the Francoist interpretation of Spain centemporary history.
