Between 1957 and 1962 in Asturias was three greats strikes. At them, it appeared a new type of political and trade union protest. The repercussion was important and it caused new exiles. However, since this moment, the strategy against the dictatorship changed at all: communists and Catholics started to make an opposition based in the introduction in Francoist Trade Union. Socialists, on the other hand, separated themselves of the new ways for keeping the purity of their ideas. This article explores socialist’s participation in the strikes and its results.
