The Houses of the People were the most important places of Socialist sociability. It was happened such an under political and trade union as cultural points of view. All kinds of Society, Cooperativism and spare time activities were run indoors, which shape the working and low classes Mentality in the first thirty years of the Spanish XX th. Century. These buildings reached a noteworthy role in Castilla and León but it was very different due to the different political strength and economical development in two unequal areas: country and towns. They don’t present big differences with the rest of Spain such as in its installation and development, although they have multiplicity and a lot of peculiar characteristics. The issue tries to bring us closer us all this Heritage which was made in our Region, through the study of some of the most representative.
