The studies on the Catholicism in the second Spanish republic have usually approached this thorny question from the dialectics clericalism-anticlericalism. Nevertheless, it becomes necessary to penetrate into the internal dynamics of the catholic world and of the Spanish right into this historical stage to extend our knowledge in this area. It leads us to analyzing the resilience on the part of groups integrated to the National-catholic political culture to submit to the Vatican policy of accommodation and the construction of an alternative speech in religious key that needed to rest on arguments and ecclesiastic personalities to articulate a coherent message.
