Abstract

The present article tries to reflect how it was lived the access to the Democratic System in a small locality of León’s province –Astorga–. It is presented the conformation of the different political projects arisen at the end of the Franco’s regime and the struggle established each other. Thus, in these pages we will try to overlap the statement of what happened on the national level with the self-perception felt in the city besides the specific events that inhabitants were involved. Finally, we attend the different ideological mentalities supported by the local media press and their tactics in order to influence people; the most important was the dominant Conservative Reform that it would become the winner, in spite of not reaching its full target.
