The text analyzes the participation Republicans of Jaén in the municipal elections held during the period known as “Sexenio Democrático”. Electoral successes, programs and politic proposals, interests, obstacles and difficulties in the voter turnout and the Republican municipal management, are listed in the job. We also underline the achievements of the republican movement in Jaen on the construction of democracy and modern citizenship, and also on the modernization of the political system.
