Woman and language: from liberation to erotism

Gender, Feminine writing, Feminine body, Alejandra Pizarnik, Zoé ValdésAbstract
This study aims to demonstrate the relationship between gender, sex and writing, exploring the works by two Latin American women writers from an earlier and later period of the Twentieth century. Both writers resort to different feminine/feminist strategies as resistance to any kind of repression, which aim at exploring sexuality and gender, denouncing the patriarchal system and restoring their authentic feminine identity. Alejandra Pizarnik empowers herself with the language of liberation and Zoé Valdes resorts to the erotic discourse.
