The autonomist process in Asturias during the Second Republic, little studied until now, although it did not have the development and importance of other contemporary processes, it did give rise to a series of proposals. None of them came to fruition, but the question about the role of Asturias in the republican statutory debate was present, with unequal intensity, throughout the period.
