The Thirties was one of the most important periods for Roman Catholicism within the Spanish contemporary history. Religion during the Second Republic and the influence of Catholics during the Spanish Civil War have been continuously considered sources of conflict in every period. However, The Thirties were also a unique opportunity for Catholics’ movements and for setting out a political organization that could allow them to line up a project which was different from the one portrayed by their competitors. Those vivid years were also useful to know the practical extent of the political projects of Catholics in Spain.
