After an initial and strong endurance, the Spanish socialism assumed the Cooperative movement as a standard acting. The present article briefly outlines the history of this evolution, the most important persons involved in it and some remarkable cooperatives throughout that time; it focused mainly upon the «Pablo Iglesias’s» Housing cooperative. This reformist way was broken completly by the Civil War, but the decline had previously begun with a progressive and internal radicalisation of Spanish socialism during the 30’s.
