In spite of their influence on the origins and evolution of the Spanish Fascist movement as well as of the use that the regime of Franco made some of their ideas and symbols, Onésimo Redondo and Ramiro Ledesma Ramos were on the whole consigned to oblivion throughout the foregoing period. Likewise, historians have but lately shown interest in their biographical and political trajectories, an attitude that can be ascribed not only to their premature deaths at the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War but also to the excessive emphasis on the memory of José Antonio Primo de Rivera. This article aims at a revision of the main contributions that both comrades and critical historians dedicated to these two leaders of Nacional-Sindicalismo in an attempt to describe the change of perception resulting from the study of their political action.
