This work reconstructs the trajectory of the Asturian emigrant and militiaman, Urbano Sánchez Rodríguez (1890-1937), from a historical and social dimension through a vital journey that is articulated around two outstanding events in the contemporary history of Spain. The first focuses on the overseas migration experience, that this, the journey and the stay in Cuba. The second, on the other hand, deals with his adherence to anarcho-syndicalism in Langreo in the 1930s, after his return to Spain, and his participation in the Civil War and its fatal outcome.
