Transition feminism contributed decisively to the spread of egalitarian principles in Spanish society, redefined the concept of politics to integrate women as active subjects and new rights related to the personal, and mobilized in demand for legal reforms that strengthened the democratic State. This paper aims to consider the influence of equality-difference paradox on the relationship between feminism and politics in Spanish Transition, both on the debate of only or double militancy and on the interpretations of feminist contributions to the democratic State-building.
