This article investigates the propaganda media that appeared in the written press of Zamora from the beginning of the Spanish Civil War to Franco’s rise to power. On the one hand, one particular newspaper, Heraldo de Zamora, is investigated as a propaganda tool. At the same time, it is used as a source for studying other media. In this sense, different kinds of journalistic texts are analysed, the important use of radio and, finally, other propagandist media, such as patriotic and religious demonstrations.
