The Unión General de Trabajadores in Extremadura suffered terribly the Francoist repression. This article highlights the difficulties of the Executive Committee in exile to relaunch the Union in the 60s, and the importance of XXX Congress, in 1976, to get it. After reconstruction, the UGT also suffer two serious internal crisis in the 70s: the first between “historical” and “innovators” and the second inside Badajoz between militants and the federal direction.
