Abstract

Another territory which has not been greatly studied when it comes to the union aspect during the transition to democracy is Cataluña. Without a clear benchmark in the political field –unlike the rest of the country where the most important socialist party always was PSOE,- Cataluña UGT had to face great obstacles during reconstruction and reorganization. In about 10 years, the union started the process of creating new structures and the process of political unity among formations from different locations, always taking national unity issue into account. The article analyzes all this matters casting new light by adding many oral sources to the research.
